Verdict
Hardly a race to get seriously involved in and the market should prove a worthwhile guide. Joseph O'Brien has chosen the High Chaparral colt Jacobean over Cradle Mountain, The Happy Prince and Royal Navy Ship but it's the latter who catches the eye on breeding so don't be surprised to see him come out best of the Ballydoyle quartet. KALAWAR is by the Australian-based stallion More Than Ready who has produced numerous Grade One winners there and in the USA. His dam was a juvenile winner in France and is a half-sister to Kalanisi so Dermot Weld's colt is taken to make a successful start to his career. Johnny Murtagh will be keen to get a victory for Qatar Racing and the Teofilo filly Jolyne fits the bill while Jim Bolger's Emperor's Palace, another offspring of Teofilo, is a half-brother to a couple of winners in France.
