Verdict

JUST A NORMAL DAY had been running reasonably well over fences before scoring at Wexford last month. It's a long time since he ran over hurdles but was once promising and looks on a very fair mark if anywhere near his best. Rain In Spain completed a double in the summer but couldn't handle the 5lb rise at Roscommon and the assessor may have hold of her. Maighnealta hasn't won for almost two years but looked on the way back at Gowran on Saturday and wouldn't need much more to get into contention. Authorative created a 33/1 shock here a couple of weeks ago but a 7lb rise makes this more difficult.
