This is a low-grade handicap and affords an opportunity for SIX SILVER LANE (NAP) to regain the winning thread. The winner of 10 of his 66 races, though never beyond a mile, he's been staying on over that trip recently and is back on the same mark as when successful here in September. Shukhov has five track victories to his credit and is on his lowest mark for a very long time so has to be respected while Duchessofflorence won a handicap here in November and has performed with credit in subsequent starts. Free State has never won but produced his best run here in the summer while Walkabout scored over hurdles at Ballinrobe in August and didn't run badly here last month.
