Verdict
Supreme Serenade has decent form, enough to make her the selection ahead of Newcomer King Eider and the reappearing Aberthatch. Supreme Serenade, a full-sister to Supreme Prince, caught the eye with the manner of her bumper debut victory at Newton Abbot in April, and was sent off favourite on her debut over hurdles at Exeter last month. She found one too good in Ashley Brook who is no slouch, but finished ahead of Tinoveritas, who franked the form in no uncertain terms at Cheltenham last Friday. Therefore it would take a brave man to suggest that Philip Hobbs' charge will not go one better and she rates a confident pick. Nicky Henderson had a field day at the weekend and with his team jumping out of their skins at present, newcomer King Eider should be kept on the right side. A useful middle-distance sort for John Dunlop on the Flat, he is sure to have been well-schooled. Aberthatch has an absence to overcome, so will probably need this, but should be kept in mind for a little event over further. Bobsleigh comes from a yard that only run them over timber if they have enough ability to land a decent race, and this stayer who ran down the field in the Cesarewitch, is another to keep in mind. For now though it is best to rely on Supreme Serenade.
