Maidstone Mercury and More Than That are two David Pipe inmates to keep an eye on, however TOULAMAN sets a fair standard and gets the nod accordingly. The selection, a son of up-an-coming sire Black Sam Bellamy, was a good third on his debut at Huntingdon in November. He was then a slightly disappointing seventh at Lingfield on the polytrack but he is expected to be suited by a return to turf and can make it third time lucky. Moneywise is just one of several interesting newcomers and this Definite Article gelding catches the eye, along with Our Little Dreamer (a half-brother to Heltornic) and Flanagan who is related to several winners. Good Faloue is open to improvement; her debut third at Newbury was in a good race and she comes from a fair enough flat family. At a price Capital City could improve on her debut run (behind Good Faloue) where she made some good late headway once the race was over, however it is Toulaman who is fancied to land the spoils.
