One of the newcomers will need to be pretty useful to beat those with experience but Ryan Moore rides Princely in preference to Newbury runner-up Oliver Reed, though the Compton Place colt only cost 3,000gns as a foal. Alrahaal only found one too good over course and distance in June and Algam ran green when second on debut at Epsom last month. Bombastic showed definite promise at Newbury having missed the break while Rebel Streak has shown ability in both starts to date and met trouble in-running when second at Ascot. TRIBAL QUEST is bidding to give Godolphin back-to-back victories in this maiden and looks the one to beat. The War Front colt was headed right on the line over 7f at Newmarket last time so dropping back a furlong may suit – he has a couple of Group 2 entries later this month.
