Verdict

I Am Superman attracted support on his debut at the Curragh and ran very well to finish runner-up behind Breaking Story. He'll have come on a bundle for the run but so will CIRCUS MAXIMUS. The Ballydoyle colt, a son of Galileo out of a Group 2-winning miler, finished fifth in that contest when starting favourite but didn't quite get the run of the race and compensation awaits. The stable also run the $300,000 yearling Il Paradiso, another son of Galileo out of a 7f winner though Army Recruit may pose more of a threat at this stage. He followed a decent debut behind the very smart Madhmoon at Leopardstown with a good run at Down Royal where he found 7f too short.
