Verdict

Black Caspian was well supported on debut at York but missed the break and then ran green. He is almost certainly better than that and it would be no surprise to see him in the firing-line here. Andrea Atzeni rode him that day but switches here to Richard Hannon’s NO SHOW. The latter was in the lead at this trip at Sandown and, while he may not have much scope as some of these, can put that experience to good use. Embolden can improve on his third at Doncaster but Centurion Song has already been beaten twice in lesser company. Lord Of The Lodge has been highly tried since a winning debut at Ayr and will appreciate the drop in class.
