A winner at Southwell, Lord Oberon went close over track and trip last time and takes on older sprinters once again here including AL QAHWA. The latter was well beaten at York last week but was runner-up on testing ground in the Ayr Silver Cup before that with stablemate Cold Stare, Quick Look, Confessional and Private Matter all finishing behind. David O’Meara’s charge gets the vote on that form ahead of Tawny Port, third in the Ayr Bronze Cup before also struggling at York. Mobsta won in heavy going at Windsor early this year and has his ground again for the first time since. He could go well racing off only a 2lb higher mark.
