In depth

Verdict

The form of Belacqua’s debut win at Lingfield back in August hasn’t worked out well and CUBAN BEAT is preferred. Hugo Palmer’s filly was sent off favourite over track and trip on her debut but made a mess of the start and could only manage third. She’ll know more today and gets another chance. Big Bear Hug is going the right way having posted a better effort at Yarmouth but Sid's Annie disappointed last time. Initiate and Tsubaki make most appeal of the newcomers.
