Verdict
BELLVANO has a penalty which makes life tough but Nicky Henderson's gelding is nominated over King's Legacy and Super Villan. The selection was not especially impressive at Musselburgh, but he has arrived on the racecourse with a lofty reputation. He is expected to improve for the experience of that run and he can land this before a crack at the Cheltenham Bumper. King's Legacy was well-fancied for his debut at Wincanton but he found one too good in the form of Jau. The first two home were a whopping 26 lengths in front of the third and that would hint that the first two are pretty decent. Super Villan is related to a few winners and Mark Brandstock's son of Alfora gets plenty of weight as a relative youngster. Blinkers are tried on La Patrona for the first time in the hope of eliciting some much needed improvement, whilst Ballybach was not beaten far in a good race at Ascot and is very much of interest. A fair finish, but Bellvano is taken to peal off another win.
