Verdict
Basle showed her best form for a very long time when runner-up to Super Frank over the C&D last month but the winner has been well beaten since. Gorgeous Goblin gained a remarkable victory from 7lb out of the handicap here last month then ran even better in a Listed contest a week later when a 100/1 chance. That's ruined her handicap mark as she's now 12lb higher though she's no forlorn hope if in the same mood. HAAMAAT probably didn't have much to beat in her maiden at Wolverhampton though the runner-up won her next race. William Haggas' filly has plenty of scope for further progress and may well prove much better than a 73-rated handicapper. Dancing Welcome hasn't quite been able to cope with a weight rise after completing a Wolverhampton double in January but Catalinas Diamond looks reasonably treated just 3lb higher than for her victory here in November and needed her run last month. The consistent Absa Lutte is also likely to be competitive again and has won from a higher mark than this.
