Verdict
The consistent Double M is selected to beat Long Weekend and Tayif, with Salon Prive one to note after a break. Double M finished like the proverbial train when just failing to get up and catch Another Glimpse in a class D handicap over the course and distance four days ago and deserves a change of luck. Lydia Richards has booked Richard Hughes for the first time, and the drop back in grade should ensure that the selection goes close from his low draw. Long Weekend has been in form lately so comes into the reckoning but, but has more to do at this slightly higher level despite being successful over track and trip. Tayif is the class horse in the line-up and finally regained the winning thread over the winter. However, the former Ayr Silver Cup winner has gone off the boil of late so cannot be relied upon to get back to winning ways. It would not surprise us if he were to come back on song, but we return to Double M as the answer.
