Verdict

Only five entries, three of them from Gordon Elliott, but it should be informative. Jury Duty has a penalty for winning a Grade 1 at Leopardstown and he was when outstayed by Moulin A Vent at Naas where he looked like winning after Mossback fell at the last. The latter looked the probable winner at the time and looks best of the trio this time though another stablemate, MONBEG NOTORIOUS, can get the better of them. He was beaten a long way by Moulin A Vent at Fairyhouse in December but has improved out of all recognition subsequently and his victory in the Thyestes Chase at Gowran stamped him as a stayer to follow. C'Est Jersey is by no means out of this as he showed real potential when chasing home odds-on stable companion Kemboy at Fairyhouse on his debut over fences.
