Verdict

Caspar Netscher landed Group 2's here and at York and was a very unfortunate loser in the Middle Park where he got no sort of run. He didn't appear to enjoy the rain-softened ground when disappointing in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf so today's conditions don't look ideal. BRONTERRE won a Salisbury maiden before easily landing a Goodwood Listed contest on ground with give. He ran a superb race in the Dewhurst on his final start and his pedigree suggests this will be his maximum trip and he won't mind the ground. The Dewhurst form received a boost when Trumpet Major won the Craven and he looks the one to beat.
