The market will be fascinating as it may not pay to take too short a price about the fancied runners with the last five winners all returned at double figure prices but KINGSGATE CHOICE, Deacon Blues, Kellys Eye and Gene Autry are all upwardly mobile performers. The suggestion is Kingsgate Choice although there is a concern that his connections high hopes see him sent off at an artificially short price. He is maturing with every start and is starting to realise his potential now that he has learnt to settle and Robert Winston (his regular pilot) believes that he could make his mark in Group 1 sprints next season so a 9lb rise for his win at Windsor may not prove to be insurmountable. Robert Winston keeps faith with Kellys Eye having been aboard for two of his three recent victories and there's no doubt that the son of Noverre has the ability to take a hand on his first foray south of Pontefract although he has been doing his winning on easier ground. At first glance, a 9lb rise for Deacon Blues' win at Yarmouth seems a little harsh but he has undoubted untapped potential and looks a live player if Jamie Spencer can weave his way through the field on this hold-up performer but Gene Autry seems likely to be ridden more prominently so traffic problems should be less of a concern. Pastoral Player and Bagamoyo are a pair worth keeping on side whilst the highly rated Robinson Cruso is of interest now that he's got his head in front but Kingsgate Choice is fancied to keep his connections' dreams alive.
