Verdict
Toolain didn't look a straightforward ride on occasions last year and faces a stiff task under a penalty on his reappearance. The filly Musharakaat enjoyed a decent first season, however, and should win more races while there is almost certainly more to come from Nottingham maiden winner Specific Gravity. Moriarity improved with racing last year and makes more appeal than Happy Today but both DORDOGNE and Fulgur promise to make a name for themselves over middle distances this year and could fight out the finish here. Luca Cumani's charge easily won his maiden at Newbury in October but Mark Johnston's colt is already proven on this faster surface and may be hard to pass if getting his own way out in front under Dettori.
