        Verdict

        Placed in a handicap at Doncaster last time, MOQTARREB sets a decent standard returning to novice company. Roger Varian’s colt is preferred to stablemate Bardo Contiguo, who disappointed at Chester last month. Reynolds was beaten less than a length at Newbury by Biometric, who won the Britannia at Ascot on Thursday, while Light And Dark was placed on the Rowley Mile here in October and returns to action for Godolphin. Frontman is a half-brother to Group 1 winner Winsili and Sea Wings is related to several smart winners, including Mutakayyef, and both newcomers are worth noting in the betting representing powerful connections.
