    Verdict

Havana Beat was running in the Ascot Gold Cup around this time last year but hasn't raced since September when third in a Listed race on the Rowley Mile and has also changed stables. Mr Singh won a Group 3 over a slightly longer trip here last July and will all the better for his run at Goodwood. But he finished six lengths behind BATEEL (NAP) that day and David Simcock's filly didn't get the run of the race. The latter will handle conditions better than most and looks the one to beat with John Reel, Sagaciously and Kallisha all having a bit to find at the weights.
