Verdict

Companion started off with a Yarmouth victory before well beaten when tackling this grade at York. She couldn't quite hold Rosadora at Lingfield though was conceding 7lb and can take her revenge. Shammah could hardly have won more easily over 5f on ground with plenty of give at Windsor so the going could prove a bit quick for her. Ursulina probably didn't have much to beat at Haydock but she was very well supported and didn't mind the heavy conditions so much better is expected. Star Alexander started favourite for her debut over 5f at Ascot but got outpaced. Different tactics were employed at Bath where she made all and won very comfortably. She'll take some beating but may have to settle for a place behind the hugely expensive SUMMER ROMANCE, impressive when landing the odds in a slowly-run race at Yarmouth and likely to be much better suited by a stronger pace.
