Tim Easterby looked to have a potential classic winner on his hands when WELLS FARHH GO won the Group 3 Acomb Stakes at York in 2017. However, he's only run four times subsequently but did manage to win the Group 3 Bahrain Trophy over 1m5f here last summer before a good run in the Voltigeur at York. He should be ready for this despite a long absence and can see off Barsanti, who hasn't improved since scoring at this level at Ascot last May. Walton Street has done much of his racing in Meydan handicaps but was placed in a Newbury Group 3 last August so is by no means out of this. Birch Grove is by Galileo out of a Group 2 winner so would have been expected to do better than a 76-rated handicapper though she has managed to win a couple of minor races.
