Verdict
The three-year-olds weight-for-age allowance can help Take A Bow get one over on his elders this afternoon and gain compensation for his near miss in the Cambridshire last month. There are several dangers including, the admirable Quito, who will have benefited from being kept busy of late and will make them all aware of his presence late on if he runs his usual race. Funfair should confirm recent superiority over Tout Seul on these terms and, as a very lightly raced individual this season, it is hard to see him not taking a hand at the finish. Babodana has also held his form well and is entitled to be thereabouts, while Audience can be very hard to get right and, even though he won his maiden in a four-runner race here in October 2002, this track has not brought the best out of him on three subsequent occasion - the last of which saw him trail in well behind the selection with no obvious excuse for the run. Therefore, we prefer to give Take A Bow another chance, as he has fewer questions to answer than some of the rest and, as he is still learning his trade, he is expected to find the necessary improvement the official figures for the race suggest he needs.
