      Verdict

      Calippo made all on the Turf course at Lingfield to win by a head. There may be more to come in first-time headgear and she’s preferred to Royal Lightning but still looks vulnerable to a newcomer carrying a penalty. Of those, Hidden Spell represents last year’s winning yard and Ebony Legend is a sister to a winning sprinter but OTI MA BOATI gets a speculative vote. Richard Fahey’s filly is related to no less than nine winners and is expected to make a bold bid on her debut.
