Verdict

Foildubh won this in 2012 and has hardly ever raced out of grade company since. Rubi Light has returned to something like his best though he only got as far as the third in the Grand National. RATHLIN rarely runs outside of top company and should be happier returning to a handicap. He's reasonably treated and with Ger Fox claiming his 5lb allowance he can gain his first victory since completing a hat-trick at the Galway Festival in 2013. Toon River arrives in good form after an easy Gowran victory but he's been hit with a 9lb rise. Gold Bullet is a smart performer on ground with some give as he showed with a cracking victory at Clonmel. He hasn't had much experience but there's a big race in him and it could be here. You Must Know Me was still in touch in that race when falling at the second last so he has to be considered. Klepht, who won this in 2013, hasn't been in the best of shape but has dropped to a fair mark while Ballyadam Approach has more to offer after his victory over a trip too short at Fairyhouse.
