Verdict

BAY OF FIRES could strike hot today and land this maiden whilst Lady Royale and Local Singer will try to upset the party. Bay Of Fires ran respectably on debut to finish third behind Minch Man at Haydock. Over the same trip and having got the benefit of a run out more can be expected from the filly this time round. Pedigree suggests that the distance is right and trainer James Hetherton and the jockey booking of Silvestre De Sousa have won 40% of their partnerships together this year. Lady Royale is an improving type and if progressing again here could be a serious challenger. Although yet to see 6f, Lady Royale stayed on strongly in her last race at Beverley and the trip shouldn't be an issue. Tinkertown failed to show anything remarkable on first outing and showed his inexperience but Paul Cole has a very impressive record at this track with two-year-olds and is worth noting. Local Singer didn't quite have enough to fight for the victory last time out but was not disgraced at Goodwood and given the competition could play a part in this contest. We like the though of Bay Of Fires to get the win today.
