Verdict

Piper Bomb, one of three from the Ado McGuiness yard, won over the track and trip last month though that was on soft ground. Hatton Cross is the other course and distance winner in the line-up but he's another who prefers some cut in the ground. CAESAR'S COMET gets the nod as he is 1lb lower than his last winning mark and has been running better than form figures suggest. He was conceding 24lb to recent Down Royal winner Very Smart when beaten narrowly on that track last summer so should have no problems reversing the form on these terms. Tuamhain has been given a chance by the handicapper with a 6lb drop after running in better company though her two victories were on ground with some give while Procurator is on a long losing run though has dropped to a fair mark.
