Verdict

Jim Bolger had several entered at the early stage and relies on DAWN HOOFER, who looked a likely future winner when chasing home Butterscotch in what looked a strong Naas maiden. That winner is trained by Aidan O'Brien, who has Coat Of Arms engaged here. He attempted to make all over a mile at Leopardstown and wasn't caught until a furlong out so this trip should prove ideal. Joseph O'Brien has his horses flying and though Bachelor finished last of four at the Curragh he wasn't far behind the useful winner Strike For Freedom. Port Lions also came up against a decent type in Rostropovich at Gowran and looks certain to improve again while Ger Lyons' newcomer Daliyah has a smart pedigree for this sort of trip. Michael O'Callaghan and Pat Smullen won this a year ago so Limerick runner-up Navajo Dreamer can get into the action.
