Verdict

The Hannon yard has been responsible for five of the last eight winners. King Of Rooks represents the team here and he showed massive improvement from his debut to win impressively at Newbury. However, that was over 6f and he'd finished 3l behind STEADY PACE over this trip at Ascot when the Godolphin colt gained a comfortable victory. There doesn't appear any apparent reason for a form reversal and James Doyle can steer the winner home again. Areen went to York a fortnight ago and though he only had three opponents they all had experience and attracted good support. Kevin Ryan's very speedily-bred colt could hardly have been more impressive and it will be a surprise if he's not involved in the finish. Case Key is another with pace to burn in his pedigree and he could do no more than win comfortably at Leicester and Tawdheef is another sprint-bred type who won as he liked at Bath and can only get better.
