Verdict

Churchfield Champ is better known as a chaser these days but doesn't win very often at either discipline. LAKE FIELD (NAP) has really found his form and followed a very good run at Thurles by scoring easily here then looked like defying an 8lb rise when falling at the last at Limerick. To add insult to injury he's been raised 4lb but is probably still well treated and looks the one to be on. Black Ice was the eventual winner of that latter event but was fortunate and looks second-best here. Westerner Point won over 2m5f at Sligo in September before runner-up over this track and trip then found 2m7f on heavy going stretching his stamina at Fairyhouse, The four-year-old Thywillbedone couldn't handle Grade 3 company at Fairyhouse after her Punchestown success while the lightly-raced Sizing Silver has some improving to do.
