    Verdict

COGRY beat higher-rated chasers to finish second in a Grade 2 event at Haydock three weeks ago having won over 3m at Chepstow before that. He won't fail for lack of stamina in this and gets the nod. Today's opposition are looking to put below-par efforts behind them with Uncle Jimmy rated highest over hurdles and making his chasing debut today. Kelso winner I Need Gold never recovered from a bad mistake back at the same track last time while Doing Fine has struggled since making a winning start over fences at Ffos Las. Water Garden ran well at Carlisle only to lose his rider after a blunder at Towcester on Boxing Day.
