        Verdict

        Wild Storm's breeding gives mixed signals when it comes to staying middle-distances but she ran well over 7f at Kempton on her debut. Archilles showed some progress without looking like winning when sixth here last week while Haydock fourth Scarlet Minstrel could go well on his return. Christmas Hamper was tailed off at Wolverhampton on his debut in November but a better showing is expected from stablemate AREIOPAGOS. The latter can include Group 3 winners among seven winning relatives and may be up to making a winning start for Sir Michael Stoute.
