In depth

Verdict

Fox Run, another unexposed Irish points winner, could complete a quick double for the Nicholls team in the second division of this maiden hurdle, although Presence Felt has a similar profile. Just as interesting, however, is HORATIO HORNBLOWER. He was very highly tried in two starts in bumpers last season but acquitted himself with credit and should be up to landing a hurdle in decent company this winter. Chargen and Lord Grantham have already shown some ability over timber and set the standard but Witness That, third on his debut over regulation fences at Chepstow, may need more time.
