Verdict

Maureen Haggas: "He's quite delicate and has very delicate feet. He ran disappointingly at Kempton as his feet just erupted. Our farrier has been fantastic, but it's taken a long time to get him right. If you look at his feet it looks like his shoes are bandaged on, he's got wraps all around the horn of his foot to hold the shoes on, but touch wood it is working really well. He ran well in the Cambridgeshire, the ground was just too fast, but the farrier has done a fantastic job and is an instrumental part in keeping the horse in one piece. Good ground is ideal for him, he maybe got away with it today as it is wet and they are going through it. I think he stays with us and hopefully there's more to come."
