Rhinos centre pleased to be back in action
Kallum Watkins is aiming to stay injury-free after making his comeback for Leeds in Sunday's 40-22 victory over the Castleford Tigers.
The centre damaged his knee in the win over the Bradford Bulls during the Magic Weekend and was not expected to play again for another two weeks.
Watkins, who has been plagued by injuries in his career so far, made a try-scoring return for the Rhinos in the contest after missing the last three games.
The England international now wants to stay away from the treatment table between now and the end of the season and play as much as possible.
Happy
"I am pleased to be back playing and back in the team environment," he told the
Yorkshire Evening Post.
"Staying injury-free is my target now and I'll do everything I can to do that - any extras there is to do, I'll do them.
"I just want to get out there and play and get myself involved. Fitness-wise I felt good and I was really happy we got the win.
"I got a bit of ball in the first half and not so much in the second, but that's how it is sometimes.
"I am just happy to be back out there, doing my best for the team."
