Sharks snap up veteran flanker on two-year deal
Sale Sharks have announced the signing of veteran Toulon flanker Kris Chesney on a two-year contract.
The 37-year-old, who was at Saracens for 12 seasons before moving to France in 2009, will join his new side in the summer.
Chesney becomes the second new signing revealed by Sale on Tuesday, with the capture of fellow back-rower Mark Easter being confirmed earlier in the day.
Former Sarries boss Steve Diamond, currently the executive director of rugby at Sale, is looking forward to linking up with Chesney again.
"I had the pleasure of working with Kris when I was in charge at Saracens," Diamond said.
"He has a great work ethic, is good in the line-out and is a very tough, uncompromising player.
"He has been playing well for Toulon since his move to France last year. This is another piece of my jigsaw completed with lots more signings to come."
