Indian Wells: Cameron Norrie qualifies for main draw

British No 3 Cameron Norrie is into the main draw for Indian Wells after beating Sergiy Stakhovsky.

Norrie won 6-2 6-2 on Thursday against the No 14 seed to earn a meeting against Japan's Taro Daniel, which will be his first match at a Masters 1000 meeting.

The winner of Norrie vs Daniel will be on a crash course with Novak Djokovic, the 12-time Grand Slam champion.

World No 111 Norrie impressed on his Davis Cup debut last month, beating Roberto Bautista-Agut, but has now accomplished another landmark victory.
