Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele is travelling to Hong Kong to undergo a medical ahead of a move to Chinese Super League club Guangzhou R&F.
Spurs accepted an offer from Chinese Super League side Beijing Sinobo Guoan last week, and it has now emerged that Guangzhou - 75 miles north-west of Hong Kong - have also tabled an acceptable offer.
With the 31-year-old Belgium international now set to bring an end to his six-and-a-half-year spell in north London.
Dembele's Tottenham contract expires at the end of the season, which would have allowed him to leave the Premier League club on a free transfer.
However, Tottenham have made the decision to allow Dembele to leave now so they receive a transfer fee for a man who has made 249 appearances for the club.
Dembele, who has not played for Spurs since November due to an ankle injury, has been keen on a move to China since the summer.
Spurs have been scouting for replacements for Dembele for more than a year, with the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Donny van de Beek all on their radar.
