Andy King has become Rangers' 10th summer signing after joining from Leicester on a season-long loan.
The 30-year-old midfielder was watching from the stands at Ibrox on Thursday as Rangers cruised into the Europa League play-offs after beating FC Midtjylland 3-1.
King follows Steven Davis, Jordan Jones, Jake Hastie, Greg Stewart, Sheyi Ojo, George Edmundson, Joe Aribo, Filip Helander and Brandon Barker through the doors.
Steven Gerrard said: "We thank Leicester for the opportunity because you and I know from a financial situation there is no way in the world we can bring Premier League players in here.
"But when this opportunity came up I wanted to get it done and get it done quick because it was a fantastic offer we had to grab. It made total sense in every shape and form.
"I jumped at the chance for numerous reasons. One, he is a winner, a Premier League winner. Two, because he has had numerous caps at international level. Over the course of the last 14 months I have been trying to build a squad but a lot of the guys are very young - they need leadership and guidance in the dressing room. So It was a no brainer.
"He is hungry to play, he got an injury last year which frustrated him a lot. I spoke to him and he understands he has to work hard. But for the club and myself it is positive news."
King spent the second half of the 2018-19 season on loan at Derby, having also had a spell at Swansea the year before.
The Wales international has scored 68 goals in 378 appearances for Leicester, winning League One and the Championship before helping the Foxes lift the Premier League in 2015-16.
He will be eligible for his Rangers debut in their Scottish League Cup match at East Fife on Sunday.
Thought the transfer window was closed? Wrong. Across Europe, plenty of deals are still being done, with Premier League players still able to move to the continent.
The transfer window for Spain's La Liga, Italy's Serie A, Germany's Bundesliga and France's Ligue 1 closes at varying times on Monday September 2. Meanwhile, League One, League Two and Scottish clubs can also do deals until September 2.
