Luton have announced the signing of midfielder Lawson D'Ath from Northampton and the departure of defender Mark O'Brien to Newport.

D'Ath has joined the Hatters on an 18-month contract, with the club having the option to extend it for a further year.

The 24-year-old spent two-and-a-half seasons with Northampton, helping them claim the League Two title last term. He featured in only one League One game for them this season.

The move for O'Brien, also 24, comes after Luton reached agreement with him to mutually terminate his contract.
