Bristol Rovers have completed the double signing of goalkeepers Adam Smith and Sam Slocombe.

Smith, 24, and Slocombe, 29, were released by respective clubs Northampton and Blackpool at the end of last season. Rovers have not disclosed details of either player's contract.

"I am delighted to be signing two excellent goalkeepers who will provide us with competition for the number one spot next season," Rovers boss Darrell Clarke told the club's offcial website.

"Both have experience of playing at this level and they have different attributes which means they will complement each other."

Smith, whose previous other clubs include Middlesbrough and Leicester, made 40 league appearances for Northampton last season.
