Burnley have completed the £10m signing of striker Jay Rodriguez from West Brom.

The 29-year-old, who is a product of Burnley's academy system, returns to Turf Moor on a two-year deal after they met the release clause in his contract.

Rodriguez left Burnley for Southampton in 2012 after scoring 41 goals in 129 appearances for his hometown club.

After completing his move back to his boyhood club Burnley, we take a look at Jay Rodriguez's best moments for West Brom during the 2018-19 season.

"I am excited to get back," said Rodriguez. "To represent your home-town club in the Premier League is a dream for any lad and I am going to grasp that with both hands.

"The main thing is to work as hard as I can and try to improve. I am still hungry and I still feel I can improve all aspects of my game, physically and technically, and I just want to keep doing that."

Capped once by England in 2013, Rodriguez has spent the last two years with West Brom and scored 22 goals last season as they reached the Sky Bet Championship play-offs.

He was due to travel to Spain with the rest of the Baggies squad on Monday but instead flew to Portugal to join up with his new team-mates.

"I really enjoyed my time at West Brom and made some great people and friends for life there," said Rodriguez.

"Every club I've been to has meant a lot to me and I think I've grown from the experiences, but I'm here and ready to go and it's all about the work now."

Rodriguez becomes Burnley's second signing this summer after Erik Pieters arrived from Stoke on Monday.
