Great Britain's women slipped to a 2-0 Champions Trophy defeat against the Netherlands and are struggling to make the final.
Lily Owsley had hit the crossbar early on with GB's best chance but although the Dutch dominated possession they had only Lidewij Welten's penalty corner deflection to show for it at half-time.
However, Maartje Paumen, denied once by the crossbar, converted another set-piece to give the world number one team and Olympic champions a comfortable win.
Britain have taken just one point from top two sides in the tournament but have three more matches in which to haul themselves back into the reckoning for a gold medal at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre.
"Holland have played very well and deserved their win," coach Danny Kerry said in his post-match interview.
"Unfortunately a lot of bad habits came out in our play today. When we won the ball back we gave it away cheaply and we need to do much better."
