Mahal was the first wrestler to make the switch on a night of huge change to the Raw roster, with Kurt Angle insisting he make an immediate defence of the championship he won just eight days earlier at WrestleMania.

Hardy answered the challenge and overpowered the Modern-Day Maharajah with a Senton Bomb to become the latest Grand Slam champion, although he will face Mahal in a rematch at the Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27.
