BRANDO faces a stronger line-up than when winning this 12 months ago but he comes to hand early and carries only a pound more. Kevin Ryan’s gelding has had a wind operation over the winter and can extend his unbeaten record on the track. Le Brivido and Spirit of Valor finished 1-2 in last year’s Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot and there shouldn’t be much between the pair again. Projection ran a cracker behind Blue Point in a Group 3 at Ascot in October and beat 2016 winner Magical Memory in the process, though the latter has already had a run this year. Dream Of Dreams beat recent Doncaster winner Perfect Pasture on Town Moor in November but, along with One Master, would need to improve again to land this.
