Deontay Wilder is determined to unify the heavyweight division and is prepared to travel to the UK to face Tyson Fury.

Wilder (35-0-KO34) is the current WBC champion and, after Fury (25-0-KO18) relieved Wladimir Klitschko of the WBA, WBO and IBF crowns, the American is eager to travel to Great Britain to put all the belts on the line.

He said: "I've got to fight someone in January and after that fight I would love to have a unification bout - and guess what, I wouldn't mind coming to the UK for that one.

"No matter where it might be, I want to be the undisputed champion of the world.

"We haven't had an undisputed champion in I can't remember how long - and I want to be the first name to bring the belts back together and heavyweight boxing back to its full potential."

Wilder added on BBC Radio Five Live: "Next year is going to be a great year for me, regardless. Everything is falling in our plan, our time and our planning for what we want to do."

When asked previously about the possibility of stepping in with Wilder, Fury said: "With Floyd Mayweather gone, Wlad took his place and I just took him out.

"So why would I be bothered about a novice like Wilder? He's a basketball player who took up boxing a couple of years ago."

Wilder won the WBC title in January when he defeated Bermane Stiverne on points and has since made two defences - stopping both Eric Molina and Johann Duhaupas.

The last man considered undisputed heavyweight champion of the world was Lennox Lewis, who beat Evander Holyfield on points in 1999 to add the WBA and IBF titles to his WBC crown.
