Kell Brook should 'jump on' Gennady Golovkin and pursue a stunning early knockout on Saturday night, says Sky Sports expert Johnny Nelson.
This is the most confident I have seen Kell Brook and I think the weight has made a massive difference to his self-belief as an individual. He is a happy fighter. A happy fighter is a good fighter, a dangerous fighter. I like what I've seen from Kell. It's not what he says, it's how he is around his family and friends.
If I was Dominic Ingle, Kell's trainer, I would tell him to get in there and jump on him straight away, because if you've got two gunslingers exchanging shots, it makes the fight more equal.
Kell is the faster of the two, obviously Golovkin is the harder puncher. I would make it like Hagler-Hearns. Get in there, wham, wham, wham and get out.
The longer the fight goes, the more you lean towards Golovkin because he's naturally stronger, he's naturally bigger, he's naturally got that punch. As the rounds go on, if you get tired, you're going to get caught and you cannot afford to get caught flush by this man.
So I say jump on from the off, keep him off-key, don't let him plant that front foot. You saw him yesterday at the public workout. He planted the ball of his foot down and let so many shots off, straight shots, power shots. If he can't get on that front foot, he doesn't get the power in.
Kell can punch. Listen, when I was in the gym and he was whacking the body bag, I was thinking 'where the hell has that come from?' It hurt through the body bag.
Yes, when Golovkin was on the pads yesterday you heard a 'boom' each time it hit the pads. You thought woah! Kell then got in there, he looked fast, and you didn't think the same. But I think he's got the power and he's got that jab. He should get in there and make it quick, so his speed works for him.
