Whyte displayed a calmness in the opening round, despite months of heated words between the duo, and speared his jabs onto Browne, who was left with a cut over his right eye.

Blood dripped from Browne's eye in the second and Whyte sensed his vulnerability, ramming in right hands onto a subdued opponent.

Another big right wobbled Browne in the third and he crudely tried to stand and trade, but 'The Body Snatcher' answered with more accuracy and targeted the ribs in the fourth.

By the fifth, Browne's face was a crimson mess, and Whyte gave a hint of what was to come when he landed a stiff right hand.
