Promising cruiserweight Isaac Chamberlain will make his second professional appearance in Leeds on April 11, live on Sky.

The 21-year-old Londoner impressed on his debut in the paid ranks when outclassing the experienced Moses Matovu over four rounds and has been added to a bill at the First Direct Arena that also includes local star Josh Warrington’s clash with Dennis Tubieron for the vacant WBC International Featherweight title.

Chamberlain said: “Eddie Hearn told me about the fans in Leeds and it is really exciting to go and fight there. The fans create an amazing atmosphere and I am really looking forward to hearing them make some noise.

"I haven’t been to the Arena before but I have seen the fights. So to hear that noise for myself, I think it will be great.

"It is all about experience and I want to learn as much as I can. Every fight is a learning curve which will make me better in the ring. I study hard how to be better, I watch videos and am a student of the game. I am doing all the revision and my tests are in the ring. Every time I get into the ring I want to see an improvement.

“I have looked back at my debut and I can say it was a good performance and everything went the way we planned. Because it was my first outing it was a bit off and I didn’t get into my own rhythm like I really wanted to. It was the first time so I wasn’t really myself. I listened to my coach and tried to be safe.

"Everyone had been telling me, ‘this is the pros and every punch will hurt’. But he hit me and it didn’t really have an effect at all. Next time I am definitely going to box the way I normally box.”
