Carl Frampton has told Scott Quigg 'bring it on' and rejected claims he will move up in weight to avoid his rival.

Britain's two world super-bantamweight champions have so far been unable to agree terms for a unification contest despite talks between their representatives.

Quigg apparently strengthened his bargaining position at the weekend when he bettered Frampton's two wins over Kiko Martinez, stopping the Spaniard inside two rounds to retain his WBA belt.

His rival had to get off the floor to beat unheralded Mexican Alejandro Gonzalez in El Paso on the same night, and Frampton afterwards admitted he had struggled to get down to the 8st 10lbs limit.

That prompted a prediction from Eddie Hearn that Frampton would quit the division, but speaking to BBC Radio the IBF champ said he is even prepared to come to Quigg's home city of Manchester if the deal is right.

"The message is bring it on if you want, but remember who's the A-side fighter here," Frampton said. "When you come to negotiate you can't be making too many demands.

"If he really wants the fight I'm happy to fight him in his own backyard, but we just need to remember who's the boss when it comes to negotiating."

Scott Quigg believes his impressive performance against Kiko Martinez means the fight he craves against Carl Frampton is closer than ever.

Frampton refused to rule out a future move to featherweight but said: "It's not as if I've suddenly had a growth spurt. I think I stopped growing when i was about 12 years old!

"I'm a career super-bantamweight if i want to be - i just misjudged things a little bit. I can make 8st 10lbs again if I have to - it's a hard slog to do it, but I've done it so many times before."
