Dillian Whyte claims to be a predator who will smile as he shatters Anthony Joshua's career at The O2 on December 12.

The heavyweight rivals clash for the vacant British title - and Joshua's Commonwealth title - in their hometown of London, live on Sky Sports Box Office, and Whyte (16-0-KO13) is beaming over the prospect of finally getting his hands on Joshua (14-0-KO14), who he beat in the amateurs.

Confirmation of their clash was followed by tickets selling out in just six hours and the pair traded further insults during November's press conference.

Speaking from his training camp in Austria, the 27-year-old Whyte said: "I should change my name to The Smiling Assassin, shouldn't I? I'm always smiling - even when I'm in the fight going for the KOs, I'm still smiling.

"I'm the predator that smiles just before the kill. I know blood is coming. I can taste it even before it starts running. Blood is coming and I can taste it already so my juices are flowing. I'm licking my lips.

"If you watch my fights and know me, I'm always smiling. Even in the heat of battle when I'm taking punches, I'm still smiling. I know my time is coming so you can throw as many punches at me as you want but I know my time is coming. I smile because I'm happy.

"It's me against Matchroom, probably the referee and the judges but that's life," continued Whyte in an interview on iFL.tv. "I'm used to that.

Whyte says he could feel Anthony Joshua's heart pounding at the face-off

"As a kid growing up, I was always the kid that wasn't going to be anything or do well at school. I've proved everyone wrong so far so for me this is just another step proving hundreds of thousands people wrong again.

"I'm not the home fighter. At the moment they're treating Joshua like the King of England. He's an Olympic gold medallist, has an MBE from the Queen, he's being hyped up and Eddie Hearn has invested a lot of money in him.

"Eddie has always been nervous and cautious with the fight. Obviously he believes in his man but he knows that I'm dangerous and I come willing and determined to put this guy's lights out. Anyone with a brain would be slightly worried.

Whyte floored Brian Minto in the first round with a one-two combination

"I expect him to be psyched up, coming out raging and trying to destroy me because he's got the world to lose. He's money-orientated so he knows that if he loses here, the big pay-days are going to stop for a while. That's what I'm preparing for."

The headline bout is supported by another grudge match - the WBA world middleweight title eliminator between interim champion Chris Eubank Jr and Ireland's Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan.
